Title: CPIM, CSCP, CLTD: Which one will work best for my career goals?

Topic: In today’s global SCM market place, enabled by the internet and other technologies such as IIOT, robotics and drone deliveries, how can a SCM professional remain “current” with their SCM knowledge base? APICS, the Premier Professional Society for Supply Chain Management has your back and then some.

Keynote Speaker: William L. Cure, CPIM-F, CIRM, CSCP-F, CLTD-F, PMP, CSM, managing Partner, E3 SCM Leadership Excellence

APICS offers three internationally recognized SCM certifications as noted above which are the recognized international standards in the SCM industry. Each year, APICS proactively engages with numerous SCM SME (Subject Matter Experts) to continuously update each of their SCM certification programs based on the current state of the art concepts.  Worldwide, over 130,000 of your fellow SCM professionals have earned one or more of the APICS SCM certification.

“But, how do I choose the one that is right for me that will further my SCM career”?

Using the chart below, we will explore this question in detail.

Obviously, there is no one right APICS SCM certification for all certification candidates.  What this presentation intends to do is provide some suggestions for a range of SCM professionals as to what each of the three APICS SCM certifications covers, and which typical SCM job functions might benefit the most from obtaining a deeper and broader understanding of the SCM concepts defined in the BOK (Body of Knowledge) covered by each of the three SCM certifications.

Currently William Cure is the Managing Partner of E3 SCM Leadership Excellence.  He has worked in the SCM/Operations Management industry for close to 40 years and has held positions ranging from Shop Floor Expeditor to Direct of Materials.
