Keynote Speaker - Jose Arias, Supply Chain Consultant
“Transferring Transport Obligations, Cost & Risk “

The International Chamber of Commerce just released the INCOTERMS 2020 version that has a goal to help companies to properly set up their international transactions by providing guidelines, describing the responsibilities of buyers and sellers in regards obligations, cost and risk. The first half of the presentation describe the differences between the 2010 and the new 2020 Incoterms. On the second half, Jose  will give you a pragmatic application of incoterms and the optimal usage on your Purchase Orders or Sales Order contracts. 

Biography:

Jose Arias acquired significant experience of intentional trade in Johnson Controls and Howden, after successfully implementing a Transportation Management System for  Howden North America the opportunity came to replicate the success in other parts of the organization, that is how come Scotland, Italy and China were the playground for learning the details about international commerce. The University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business invited Jose to speak about the topic to their International MBA program students to expose them to a pragmatic view of trade. Jose, has provided training sessions on Incoterms to private companies.

Today Jose has his own Supply Chain Consulting firm and part time consultant for multiple organizations like Belcan Consulting Services, Abeam Consulting and Sunset Transportation.
