About the Houston Chapter of APICS
We the APICS Houston Chapter Board of Directors are proud to serve
Houston and its surrounding areas. Here are some accomplishments you
should know about the APICS Houston Chapter.

APICS Chapter Mission
- To help the Southeast Texas business community meet its needs for skills improvement and professional growth by providing consistently high-quality education and professional exchange of ideas in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.
- To help business professionals enhance their Operations Management and Supply Chain Management skills and knowledge through the exchange of ideas, networking opportunities, and education programs leading to successful certification.
- To assist in the development of future Operations Management and Supply Chain professionals through our support of APICS student chapters.
- To ensure the future success of the Chapter by developing its instructor base and the leadership skills of its board members and volunteers.
- To support and encourage the APICS organization’s ability to continuously develop the body of knowledge by actively promoting the value of membership and delivering high quality certification programs.

Chapter Bylaws
The American Production and Inventory Control Society of Houston
(Chapter) held a vote on revising the Chapter Bylaws on September 17,
2009. The vote was held at the PDM at The HESS Club, at 5430 Westheimer
Way, Houston, Texas 77056. A quorum was present at the meeting. The
revised Chapter Bylaws were passed unanimously. The results of the
election were published in The Horizon in October, 2009.

The Association for Operations Management
APICS—The Association for Operations Management is a not-for-profit
international educational organization respected throughout the world
