Certifications

APICS currently administers three internationally recognized certification programs—Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). By earning the CPIM, CIRM, and CSCP designations, individuals validate their knowledge and skill set in the field of operations management, specifically production, inventory, enterprise, and supply chaing management. Obtaining an APICS certification shows a commitment to the profession that leads to a sense of accomplishment, demonstrates value to employers, enhances earning potential, and provides a path to career advancement.

Education

The Houston Chapter of APICS provides comprehensive education and training programs that significantly improve an individual’s understanding of operations management practices, strategies, and concepts. The APICS body of knowledge consists of education, research, and standards developed by leading practitioners and academicians. Through regular expansion and refinement, the APICS body of knowledge offers the most expert, current, and relevant education to the growing operations management community.
